Call out for worn white socks
Calling all white sock wearers! We are collecting used socks for a new interactive artwork entitled ‘The Sock Project’ by the artist Samuel Lyon Spice.
The Sock Project will explore the role and history of white socks within the LGBTQ+ community. From fetish to functional, what is it about white socks that make them so desired and worshiped?
All donated socks will be used in the creation of a new artwork to be presented at the Knotty Festival in June 2020
For each pair of worn white socks donated the artist will send a limited edition photograph.
Sock Donors can choose from the following options:
Savoury Edition (Free):
A photograph of the artist posing in your socks in a position of their choosing.
Sock Lover Bonus Edition (£25.00):
For the extra special sock lovers out there for only £25 you will receive a photograph of the artist posing in your socks in any position that you choose!

Sock Drops
As part of the Sock Project a series of Sock Drops will be taking place throughout 2020. At the Sock Drop you will be able to donate your white socks directly to the artist and watch your personalised limited edition image be created live.
The Sock Drop will be coming soon to the following spaces….
Salty at the Printworks Hastings on Friday 6 December from 8pm-1am
Knickerbocker at the Yard, 7 February 2020
Steakhouse Live at Toynbee Studios, London on 1st March 2020
Duckie at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, London, (date tbc)
